Verify us independently

Our incorporation is public record. You can confirm it, or ask us for a copy of our Articles of Incorporation, in these ways:

• New Mexico Secretary of State — our Articles of Incorporation are on file as a domestic nonprofit corporation. Search for "International Institute for Social Impact" in the New Mexico business search, or request a copy from us.
• District community development office — the district offices in the areas where we work can confirm our presence and the projects we run with village councils.
• Our partner schools and health centres — on request we put you in touch with a head teacher or health worker who has worked with our team.

Where your donation goes

Donations fund our community programs in education and school meals, health outreach, clean water and food security, the direct-support appeals listed on this site, and our team's food and essentials deliveries and home visits. Gifts to an appeal fund that appeal; gifts to the general fund go where they are needed most.

We publish a year-in-review letter every January with a plain-language breakdown of where every dollar landed, and each appeal page shows its budget and the updates posted as the money is spent.

How we choose projects and families

Village councils, head teachers and health workers tell us where the need is. Our team surveys every project in person and visits every family before an appeal is organized, and again after help arrives. Families review their story and choose the photos before anything is published.
