👁️💙 “Bernardo is 7 years old and dreams of seeing the world for the first time”

Bernardo is 7 years old and was born with a visual impairment caused by a malformation in his optic nerve.

But now, his little heart is filled with hope.

After several examinations, doctors confirmed that stem cell treatment in Thailand may help him see.

Bê longs to see the world for the very first time. He wants to “discover” what his parents’ and his brother’s faces look like.

It’s truly moving.

🧠 The diagnosis that changed everything

At first, doctors believed he could see, because his retina is perfectly healthy.

But his mother, Cleisy, knew something wasn’t right with her son.

Eventually, an MRI revealed that his optic nerve was damaged due to atrophy.

After extensive research and conversations with families who underwent the treatment in Thailand, confidence has grown stronger that Bê may be able to see.

The treatment offers hope — but it is very expensive and far beyond the family’s reality. They live in Phoenix, Arizona, and cannot afford the full cost alone.

This fundraiser exists to cover all necessary expenses: flights, accommodation, and the treatment in Thailand, so Bê can return home with the gift of sight.
